The purpose of exotic pet insurance is to be sure that the health needs of an exotic animal will be met, without placing financial stress on the owner. In many instances, exotic pets tend to be more susceptible to illness and some breeds are considered to be more fragile, health-wise, as opposed to the more typical types of household pets.

The care for exotic pets is also more expensive, as some of these animals require a veterinarian with specialized knowledge and skills in order to properly care for the them. This is one reason why many owners of such animals seek out insurance. Some have even declared that they would never again be without such coverage because of the amount of money that they have saved due to unexpected veterinary pet bills.

Recent studies have reported that approximately 40% of all reptile owners have needed to take their mammal in for an unplanned veterinarian visit at some point during the previous two years. The study went on to report that over one third of these cases ended up requiring three or more veterinary office visits during that same time frame. This is just one example of how pet insurance for exotic creatures is very beneficial, because for some people, such a level of care would not be affordable.

One of the common misconceptions about exotic pet insurance is that it only covers health related costs, such as veterinarian fees and prescriptions. However, most of the insurance policies for exotic animal coverage will provide for many additional benefits as well. Much of what is covered will depend on the type of coverage you choose and the cost of such coverage and how it fits within your own budget constraints.

Of course, the primary benefit of all animal cover is the pet health insurance aspect. This is the part of the coverage that will pay for veterinary pet visits, vaccinations, health screenings, yearly checkups and booster shots as needed. Some of the policies will completely cover all of these costs.

Other types of policies will only cover emergency types of care, such as surgery due to an accident. Some policies require you to make a minimum co-payment for each veterinary visit, while others fully cover such costs. Each of these variations, in addition to an annual deductible, will affect the cost of the insurance premium that you’ll pay.

In addition to covering veterinary expenses, cover policies for an exotic creature can also cover thievery, in case it is stolen. If you own a very valuable exotic pet, it is strongly advised by experts that you carry this type of cover in addition to the pet health insurance coverage. You will want to be sure that the policy you choose provides for sufficient replacement coverage in the event of a theft.

Insurance can also provide coverage in the event of death of the exotic animals because of fire, natural disaster, accident, injury or illness. For owners who have invested a great deal of money in acquiring an out-of-the-ordinary kind of mammal, this type of pet plan can help to offset the cost of replacement.

Most policies will cover the value of the purchase price of the animal and some will even cover the needed vaccinations that were required. Of course, such coverage cannot compensate for the value of the relationship that has been developed with the beloved exotic creature, but it can minimize the financial impact of such a loss.

Most of the policies for exotic pet insurance coverage are written either for a one year period or are written as a lifetime policy. In general, a yearly pet plan is more budget friendly but it can also be riskier. There is added risk because they often provide lower coverage limits and there is also the potential that the pet insurance company could decide not to renew coverage, based on developing health problems with the animal or because of advanced age.

These days, pet insurance is receiving a good deal of attention, both in the marketplace and in the media. There is a terrific reason for this. People seem to love their mammals more than ever and having health insurance pet plan is a reasonably affordable way for people to assure that their pets will be able to receive the animal welfare care that they need. At the same time, such insurance coverage helps to protect the animal lovers from financial hardship in case of major health problems or accidents with their animals.

Just like health care coverage for humans, insurance for pets can provide for peace of mind, because you will know that they are going to be taken care of in the event of an emergency. There is nothing worse than to have the four-legged family member become ill and be put in the position of having to pass on treatment or even worse, to have to put the animal to sleep because of the cost. As with all types of health care, veterinary animal care costs are increasing on a continual basis.

Securing proper pet insurance coverage can protect the owners from having to make life and death decisions. This provides a measure of peace and security and reduces the stress of the owners of family pets, leaving them with assurance that their animal will be able to received proper veterinary attention when needed.

Pet health cover makes good financial sense for most families. In exchange for a small monthly insurance premium, the greater costs of long-term or emergency veterinary pet services will be taken care of by the pet plan.

While health care coverage for people has been available for many years and is almost considered a must have for every individual and family, insurance for animals is still a relatively new option for mammal owners. For those who have many of them, it seems like a very important thing to have, since dealing with illness or accident for multiple animals can escalate costs quite quickly.

Some mammal owners who have had a pet plan from the time that they were first introduced, say they would never again be without it. They have gone through the experiences of having their animals meet with trauma, accident or serious illnesses and can attest to the thousands and thousands of dollars they saved by having good pet health insurance.

There are many different types of cover policies and prices will vary depending on how extensive your coverage choices are. It is a good idea to take a good amount of time to research the various coverage options you have and compare the costs and also the reputation of the pet insurance company.

Some pet plans will cover everything including preventative types of veterinary treatments and visits. Others cover only emergency procedures. There are even some policies that cover the cost of boarding or kenneling related to the illness or treatment, and some that will cover kenneling when the family is simply traveling or if the caretaker of the mammal is ill and cannot care for the animal. For those who travel extensively, there are also policies available that will refund your cancellation fees if you must cancel a trip because your animal fell ill.

Comparison shopping for your pet insurance coverage will help you to have a complete picture of the various options you can choose that will impact the final cost of the coverage. Purchasing animal health cover can be a wise financial investment for the long-term well-being of your family pets and can help to assure that they remain a healthy part of the family for many years to come.

It should come as no surprise to learn that veterinary pet treatments and procedures are becoming more expensive. This increase in veterinarian costs has led many mammal owners to inquire about the availability and cost of veterinary pet insurance. Even though it is not as well-known or talked about as much as health care coverage for humans, pet health insurance has been available to cover family pets for the better part of two decades.

Insurance for pets has been available in some form or another for about twenty years now. However, many people even today are surprised to learn that animal health cover can be obtained to protect the animal welfare of beloved four-legged family members. As the cost of veterinary pet office visits and various procedures have increased, along with the cost of human health care in this country, more and more people are looking at this option as a financially viable and wise way to assure the best mammal care is provided when needed.

Veterinary pet insurance is very similar to the type of health care coverage that you would seek out for your family. With pet health insurance, the cost of veterinary care is covered when you purchase such a policy. The cost of the premiums will vary depending on how extensive the coverage is, but most families find the premiums to be quite affordable and easy to fit into the monthly household budget.

For many people, they want to purchase the best mammal cover that they can so that they feel confident in the level of care that their animal will receive. Animal cover policies that cover preventative measures or wellness care, in addition to the veterinary pet services that are needed in case of illness or emergency, are considered to be the premier type. Most of these policies will also cover on-going care and long-term treatments in the instance of chronic problems or conditions of disease.

However, you will find that these types of mammal cover plans, which are quite comprehensive in their coverage, come at a cost. You will pay the most in its insurance premiums for coverage that pays for routine health screening visits to your vet and for the regular vaccinations, immunizations and booster shots. Devoted animal lovers find a great deal of comfort in knowing that their family pets are covered under this type of animal health cover and are willing to pay extra for this coverage.

There are a few ways to reduce the cost of your animal cover premiums and still have very good coverage. One way to do this is to choose a higher deductible for your policy. Another is to choose to purchase a policy that has a co-payment option.

You also might be able to get a discount if you pay your premiums quarterly or annually, as opposed to monthly. Most pet insurance companies offer a variety of plans so that you can find the coverage you are comfortable with and still stay within your budget.

Before making a commitment on a specific veterinary pet insurance plan, be sure to learn about optional benefits and coverage that an individual pet plan will provide. In addition, it is a good idea to find out about the track record and the reputation of the various mammal cover companies before sending them your hard earned money. One last thing you can do in your search is to check with your veterinarian to see if they have ever encountered any payment problems or claim issues with the particular company you are considering.

There are many issues to consider when purchasing health insurance for your cat or kitten. Purchasing health insurance for your pet can help you afford a procedure that would otherwise be prohibitively expensive. Accidents or disease are events that we can’t anticipate or foresee, but we can safeguard against them – if we choose the right plan.

“How Do I Choose a Plan?”

Many variables need to be considered in choosing the right pet health insurance plan, including your financial circumstances, the environment in which you live, whether or not you have other pets, and what veterinary service you do business with.

First, if you already have a vet with whom you have a trusting relationship, you need to find out what pet health insurance companies they accept. Most vets limit the number of insurance companies they work with, as doing so makes it easier for them to recommend a treatment course of action that they know will be a covered expense.

“What Procedures Are Covered by my Plan?”

Another point to consider stems from the fact that depending on the procedure that is recommended for your pet, a referral to another specialist, animal hospital, or veterinary school may be necessary. In this case, you want to be sure that the services of the referred specialist are also covered by your plan.

Naturally, you also need to weigh the various insurance options available to you. There are various levels of coverage available, with some being far more comprehensive (and somewhat more expensive) than others. Make sure that you fully understand what is covered under your plan. While surgical procedures following an accident may be covered, for example, other conditions may not – such as pre-existing conditions or disease that may be related to a hereditary condition.

“What Level of Deductible is Appropriate for Me?”

In choosing your plan, you will be given a choice of the level of deductible. This is the amount of money that you will have to pay before the insurance kicks in. Generally speaking, the higher the amount of the deductible, the lower your monthly premium will be. Sometimes the deductible may be per-incident, or in other cases, there may be a yearly deductible. One plan may offer 90% coverage with a 10% deductible, for instance. Since it’s impossible to know which option would ultimately be the least expensive, most people choose an option that represents a compromise: a monthly premium that can fit into their budget, and a deductible that will be affordable if the situation arises.

“Are Prescription Medications Covered?”

Prescription medicines are usually not covered as a matter of course, though some companies may offer this as an option for an additional fee. Chronic conditions such as feline diabetes require medications that can be quite expensive, so this may be an option worth considering. Bear in mind that this coverage may only include the cost of the medication alone, and not the cost of the corresponding office visit to your vet.

“Do Insurance Plans Offer Wellness Treatment?”

More comprehensive pet insurance plans may include coverage for certain preventative procedures. This ‘wellness treatment’ may include certain procedures such as vaccination shots, or neutering and spaying. The costs of these treatments are fairly predictable, and so this coverage may not save you money in the long run, but it would allow you to amortize the costs of these procedures over time, making budgeting for them a little easier.

“What Course of Action is the Least Expensive?”

Ultimately, we can never be certain about which course of action will be the least costly to us. Taking out insurance is really no more than placing a bet – but it’s a bet that we hope to lose. We don’t want to have accident or a fire so that we can take advantage of our auto or home insurance policies. Similarly, we may choose health insurance for our pet, but we want our pets to remain healthy. At the very least, pet health insurance can afford us peace of mind.

“What Must I do to Determine if This is Right for Me?”

It would be wise to research and understand insurance options for your pet before you need it. If your pet is robust and healthy, it may make sense to hold off. If your pet is older or more prone to illness, having health insurance may save you a lot of money. Prepare yourself with the necessary knowledge so that you can make an informed decision. Find out what insurance companies are accepted by your vet. Get information from those companies, comparing plans, costs, and coverage. Determine what you can afford based on your financial circumstances. In this way you will be prepared to best deal with lapses in your pet’s health in a way that is compatible with your budget.

—————————

Undoubtedly, pets are so much adorable and cuddly like babies. Especially for pet lovers, they find them funny and oftentimes treat them like a part of their family. Sometimes, they regard their pets as their confidant and make them a source of their joy whenever they are sad and down. They find real amusement in taking care of their pets. They sure bring a lot of happiness into our lives. But as caretakers, we should repay their outstanding loyalty and the inexplicable beatitude they bring to us. We need to be very responsible and sincere to their health and wellness. Like humans, they need to have the required vaccinations, supplements, emergency medications and etc. to make sure that they are healthy. We may find it costly and probably think of where to purchase those drugs in a very convenient manner. Well, there are already pet medication online that offers various services and pet health products needed by your beloved animals.

Pets like people are also prone to diseases. We probably never want to see them lying so sick in one corner of the house, would we? They can break our hearts just like seeing our child so dull and lame because of illness. We would probably miss their energy and presence in our homes.

As pet lovers, we would love to see our pets with shining, bright eyes, good set of teeth, shiny hair (if it is visible), and healthy skin. Who would want to cuddle and play with a pet that has all the irony of what we always want them to possess anyway? I guess, none.

So as responsible pet owners, we should be prepared for any circumstances that would lead to our pets’ sickness. Since pet illness is a reality and comes unexpectedly, we should be aware that there are some unknown causes and that we need to seek the help of a professional veterinarian. We could not diagnose our pets with anything without a vet’s consultation.

Pet remedies, just like human medicines, need to be administered correctly. So do not ever give shots to pets without an accurate advice. We have to be aware that there are pet allergies also that may be disputable to the kind of drugs you are planning to diagnose them. If you try to give them one that would trigger their allergy/allergies, or if you diagnose them with something that contradicts to an active state of infection they have, that would lead to the soaring of their illness or would probably produce another kind of infection thereby increasing the hazard on your pet’s health.

Medicines are specially made for a certain type of animal. You cannot give a treatment to a cat which is obviously for a dog. Animals differ in their systems. They may eat the same kind of food but the kind of immune system each type of animal has is different.

One of the most effective and useful pet cures is an antibiotic. But like any other pet medications, this kind of medicine should follow an accurate dosage. Even a tiny increase in the solution can harm your pets. So be sure to take proper measures and take heed in giving the right dosage. Hence, if your doctor advised you to stop or not to use the medicine at all, then you should follow. Illnesses like diarrhea may be acquired.

So if you are thinking where to get effective pet cures and a place where you can avail those pet health products discounts, a pet medication online store is always available for you.
Before cat owners purchase health insurance for their family cat there are a few questions they should ask themselves. Asking themselves these questions will give the cat owner a reasonable idea of what type of policy will best suit them.

The first thing they should consider is whether or not they would like a discount insurance plan or a comprehensive insurance plan.

The next question cat owners need to ask themselves is how attached are they to their local veterinarian. Some veterinarians will not accept pet health insurance from various pet health insurance companies for a variety of reason. If the cat owner does not feel comfortable taking their family pet to a different veterinarian they should look for an insurance company their veterinary clinic accepts. Cat owners should also be aware that in certain instances the local veterinarian or animal hospital cannot help their pets and might refer them to the State University veterinary clinics. When purchasing a health-insurance plan for their owner should double check and make sure that any expenses charged to the university veterinary clinic will be covered by the insurance plan.

Before cat owners purchase a health-insurance plan for their family cat they should decide if they would like to neuter or spay their cat. Some pet insurance companies offer health insurance plans for pets that will cover the cost to neutering or spaying. If the policy you are thinking about purchasing does not include neutering or spaying you might want to purchase an additional rider to help with the expense. Remember that if you have adopted your cat from a local animal shelter you will be required to neuter or spay your cat if the shelter hasn’t already done that. This is also a good time to get the first round of your cat’s annual shots out of the way. How much can you actually afford to pay in addition to the monthly or yearly cost of your pets health-insurance plan? If you have to bring your cat to the veterinarian will you be able to pay a deductible? A deductible is the amount of money you have to pay the veterinarian out of your pocket each and every time you visit them. The higher the deductible you carry the lower your monthly premiums are on your pet’s health-insurance plan.

If your cat gets injured in a freak accident or suddenly becomes sick will you be able to pay for any medication that the veterinarian might prescribe. Prescription drugs are expensive whether they are for humans or for pets. If you are concerned about the potential cost of prescription drugs you may want to purchase a rider that will help cover the cost. Purchasing a co-pay option a prescription drugs get help lower your annual fee.

Before purchasing a health-care plan for your cat find out if the plan just coverers your cat’s immediate health care issues or if it will also cover the cost of the veterinarian’s office visit. Cat owner should remember that the time to research the various types of pet health-care insurance is normally before they purchase their pet. Most injuries and illnesses occur during the pets early years of life.

You love your pets. They are the first things you see when you wake up in the morning. They lay at your feet while your eating breakfast, they run with you as you get your early morning exercise, they look heart broken when you leave them behind, when you get home from a long day at work they are so happy to see you that they can hardly contain their joy, they listen attentively as you rant and rave about the trails and tribulations of your day, at night they crawl into bed with you and keep the nightmares at bay while you sleep. What they don’t do is criticize you, judge you, or abandon you.

There is very little you wouldn’t do for your pets. That’s what you think almost everyday of the year but on the days you have to take them to the vet and pay the obligatory bill you have to wonder. All your cat had done was a treatment for a mild case of ear mites. And your dog had been a yearly rabies vaccination. The whole processes for both pets took less then fifteen minutes. How could it possible cost so much?

You might be able to see the benefits of pet health insurance. You might salivate at the idea of not dealing with the ginourmous vet bills you get every six months ago. You might even daydream about the day you don’t dread the financial repercussions of taking your dog or cat the vet. But right now you simply don’t think you can afford to monthly bill a pet health insurance bill would put on your budget, after all its not like having pet health insurance would make the vet bills completely disappear, more then likely you would still have to pay the office visit.

You might not think you can afford pet health insurance at the moment but don’t walk away from an offer, not yet. Looking at a policy does not mean that you have to walk away from it. If you are a clever bargain shopper there are ways to find pet health insurance at a low cost.

If you have more then one pet you probably automatically qualify for a lower premium. Lots of pet health insurance companies offer multiple pet discounts. There is one little catch, a lot of the companies only offer multiple pet discounts if the pets are the same species. In other words if you have two cats that you insure you will pay a lower premium but if you have a cat and a dog lots of pet health insurance companies will consider it two completely different accounts.

Are you starting to despair? Don’t worry two much, while many companies don’t consider pets of separate species ground for a multiple pet discount a lot of those same companies have a policy that offers discounts to customers who carry more then policy with the company. The multiple policy discount usually takes about ten percent off the total bill but a good bargains shopper can find companies that offer higher discounts all they have to do is be willing to spend the time to shoe around.

Throughout history most of a veterinarian’s clientele was farm livestock (large animals). Dogs, cats and other household pets made up such a small amount of their daily business there was very little reason to study up on it. Even the beloved European veterinarian, James Herriott, counted on the Yorkshire farmers for a majority of his country clinics business. In 1884 that began to change when the University of Pennsylvania’s veterinary school opened the United States very first clinic specializing in the veterinary needs of dogs. In 2001 the United States of America had over 28,000 veterinarians who specialize in small animals.

It is fitting that Pennsylvania opened the very first vet clinic that specialized in the veterinary needs of dogs, the state has had a long running bond with the canine population, starting with the states founders, William Penn’s, Great Dane. A portrait of this Great Dane standing beside his master can be seen hanging in the governor’s reception room of the governor’s mansion in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania considers the Great Dane the state dog. Owners of Great Dane’s appreciate the breed’s faithfulness, intelligence, beauty, courage, and tolerance. Great Danes stand approximately 30-34 inches tall and weigh anywhere from 120-200 pounds, people who have Great Danes believe that the larger the dog the better. Because of their large size Great Danes are not an exceptionally long lived dog; their bodies simply aren’t designed to last very long. Many Great Danes suffer from heart problems, bloat, twisted intestines, and tail injuries. Some Great Danes have been diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Great Dane owners are not advised to take their Great Danes jogging until the puppy is at least one year old. Dogs featured in ancient Greek art work bear a strong resemblance to today’s Great Dane. German hunters were especially impressed with the dog’s ability at hunting bears and wild boars and bred the best great Danes to the best Greyhounds which helped create a leaner more agile breed.

Dog owners in the state of Pennsylvania are more then eligible to purchase pet health insurance for their dogs from the American Kennel Club. The American Kennel club estimates that the average pet owner who purchases an essential pet health care insurance plan (the essential health insurance plan is the name of the AKC’s lowest health insurance policy) through them will only pay approximately sixty-eight cents per day. Pet owners who purchase pet health insurance through the American Kennel Club have four different types of health insurance plans to choose from. The American Kennel Club Insurance company is happy to include cats into its health care insurance program. The American Kennel club is so confident that pet owners will love the benefits of purchasing pet health care insurance through them that they proudly offer owners the opportunity to test drive their insurance policy free for sixty days. Pet owners who insure their pets with pet health care insurance offered by the American Kennel Club are allowed to decide if they would like to receive a monthly statement in the mail or if they would rather pay for the an entire years worth of insurance in one lump sum and then not have to worry about it for twelve months.

When pet owners get a pet they store around at the many pet shops, breeders, pet rescues, and animal shelters until they find the dog, cat, or exotic pet that suits them, what very few pet owners do believe the price of veterinarian outlay for their new pet. The oversight could confirm financially devastating and emotionally heartbreaking.

The detriment of veterinary expense is on the bank. Technology, liability cross, medications, and remedial study have enforced veterinary clinics to elevate their rate. Veterinary clinics in rural areas of the country (especially ones that intermix their small animal repeat with a large animal observe) find it tough to attract fresh vets who are graduating from vet instruct to their clinics; they are enforced to propose superior salaries to compete with clinics located closer to foremost cities. The intensify in the payroll is then transferred to pet owners.

It was just estimated that the standard dog landlord will exhaust about two hundred dollars a year at the vet’s work. Cats were a little cheaper; their owners only depleted about a hundred and sixty dollars in veterinary bills. When you think what the common life expectancy is for a pet, especially on reserved inside, that’s a lot of money. And what if the pet isn’t your run of the refine dog or cat? What if the pet is something more exotic like a pot bellied pig, a search, a rabbit, a snake, or even a brute? The more exotic the pet the more, the pet possessor is likely to spend on the veterinarian bills, especially if they have a pet such as a monster which will doubtless oblige a vet with elite skills. What happens to the pet if it swiftly gets sick or is injured in a freak accident? How much will it set the pet vendor back if they have to take their family pet to a university’s veterinary drill, will they be able to give it or will they be forced to euthanize their pet for lucrative reasons?

Many pet owners try to keep the unexpected veterinary bills at bay by providing admirable worry for their pets. They make constant that the pet is reserved well groomed to check insects and skin disorders. They only supply their pets foods that are very sensibly balanced with a good combine of nutrients. They make constant the pet maintains a healthful emphasis, not to dilute and not to fat. Some pet owners won’t let their pets out of the house, fearing a freak accident. While pet owners should take the best trouble of their pets and do everything in their right to keep their family pet anodyne, even the most cautious, fitness conscious pet owner cannot preclude everything.

Pet wellbeing assurance is one way to prevent veterinarian bills from proper overwhelming. Pet vigor indemnity is assurance pet owners hold to help cover veterinarian bills related to be medical insurance. The odds of a pet owner being able to asset a pet shape charge at the same vigor insurance circle where they goods their soul health insurance is slim. Most pet owners will find that they have to go to a divide insurance troupe that specializes in pet health insurance.

Pet health insurance, like any form of insurance, is a risk. You are dead sure that your pet will need it. But, nowadays, because of the limitations and caps on the policy that a company is selling you, you’re actually wishing that your pet wouldn’t.

Many people say it’s really hard to understand in a moment’s notice what goes into your pet’s insurance policy. So, before you finally decide if you are getting a pet health insurance, it is beast to scrutinize all its details, contents, benefits and other “charge” that are initially hidden from you. Being knowledgeable and meticulous in getting a pet health insurance will not only help you save up some money but can also ensure that you have something that will take care of your beloved pet companion.

To help you understand what are the underlying principles contained in most pet health insurance offers, here are some points that you should look into:

- A network or provider list. Asking if the pet health insurance is one of the best ways in knowing if the insurance will work. If you’re looking to remain with your vet, tough luck, most of the insurance companies have their own list of providers that they approve. This is provider’s list is given to you so you have a clear-cut idea of who you can go to for pet care. But if your vet is already accredited then it’s much better.

- Exclusions. The next question that would probably come to mind is, “Are there exclusions?”. Asking if there are is a wise move because all kinds of health insurance policies have exclusions-which are part of the pre-enrollment conditions-or as insurers describe it, “injuries, medical conditions, hereditary diseases and other symptoms prior to enrollment.” These conditions are usually part of the exclusions and should be covered. This is why it is a must that owners of a pet with a pre-existing medical condition should be aware that their cat, dog, bird or other pet may not be eligible for coverage. In addition, pets who have previously suffered a medical problem or been involved in an accident may not be eligible for reimbursement on future costs if the future problem is found to be directly related to the original incident-providing that original incident occurred before the insurance policy became effective.

- Deductibles and the co-pay. Some companies have deductibles that are on a flat rate. These deductibles are usually for claims that are caused by excessive visits to the vet or other incidentals.

- A “one size fits all” policy. You can’t really say that there is a one size fits all policy. Most of the time the terms and conditions of policies are greatly dependent on the need of the pet owner and the pet, there are plans that include services that are exclusive for dogs or cats or vice versa. Some policies cover some situations that other policies don’t. Some companies have higher premium prices than others. That is one of the reason why the pet owner should be aware of the different needs to their pet so they could get the most out of their policies.

- The coverage of the said policy. When choosing pet insurance coverage, first consider what kind of insurance customer you are. This decision will lay the groundwork for your final choice. Make sure to check for coverage of pre-existing conditions as well as breed-specific genetic ailments, such as hip dysplasia for large dogs. Some plans refuse to cover these conditions while other place limits on annual, per-incident, per-illness or lifetime costs.
